Reviews aggregators are currently giving this 100% so the Academy is sure to sit up and take notice of David O Russell’s comedy-drama about a former teacher (Bradley Cooper) and a troubled girl (Jennifer Lawrence). Both leads have strong Oscar chatter – Lawrence could be in with a real shot at Best Actress, currently a very open field. Meanwhile Robert De Niro could be looking at his first nom in 20 years for his turn as Cooper’s Dad. Meet The Fockers this is not.
