First runner-up as well as Miss Photogenic of the first Star Search 1988, Aileen proves to be a versatile actress who handles diverse roles with competence.

Best known for her dramatic roles, her moving portrayal of a housewife in Bond of Love also led to the serial being named the best family drama in Sarawak, Malaysia. In 2001, Aileen bagged the Best Actress award at Star Awards, an annual award ceremony for TV personalities, for her outstanding performance in the Chinese drama, 3 Women And A Half. Besides the local scene, Aileen was also nominated for the Best Actress award in the Magnolia(Baihua) Awards 1994 in China for her role in The Blazing Trail as an undercover cop.

A very dedicated showperson, Aileen's commitment in her work has seen her acting relentlessly to complete filming schedules despite being ill or injured.

Besides acting, Aileen is also a competent compere for Chinese variety shows. Not one to sit idle, Aileen also tried her hands at theatre in the Toy Factory production, where she played a coquettish woman in I Have A Date With Spring. Aileen made her first crossover to English drama in the award-winning local drama series, Growing Up. Her other English productions include Red Thread, where she acted with Adrian Pang.
