One of the 10 sexiest women in the world by men's magazine FHM in their local annual survey, Ann Kok beat even Jamie Yeo, Paris Hilton and Karen Mok. In spite of being absent from local TV for almost three years, her popularity remains unwavering. In fact, Ann never failed to surprise audience right from the beginning.

A Star Search 1993 finalist (a nation-wide talent search contest), Ann won the hearts of the audience with her sweet and benign personality, playing every character with great aplomb. Her character as Miyuki, a cute half-Japanese tax auditor caught the attention of many, and left an indelible impression in the minds of audiences with her good grasp of the Japanese language.

Ann's other memorable roles include the aggressive midwife in Wok of Life, a cancer-stricken student in Morning Express and a caring teacher in Morning Express II (1995). Her sub-theme song, Nobody Knows created such mayhem then, that all who knew her were enthralled with her singing and her bubbly personality. In 2006, Ann's outstanding performance in Love Concierge earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Star Awards (Singapore's equivalent of the Emmys).

Ann's recent performance in the drama Housewives' Holiday where she played the lead role Alice Zheng, a materialistic and show-off housewife has generated lots of positive reviews from the audience. And it also earned her another nomination for Best Actress Award at the Star Awards. Housewives' Holiday is also the highest rated drama for 2009. Amidst her hectic filming schedule, Ann managed to find time to perform in her first musical The Peranakan Ball.

In 2010, Ann can be seen in Channel U Feature Film, Cooking Without Clothes with Taiwanese heartthrob Joseph Chang and Channel U blockbuster drama The Illusionist.
