She has travelled extensively and in 2003, she spent time in India investigating the secret of the country's tremendous economic achievements through interviews with India's most noted captains of industry. She also spent about a month in the US working on a radio documentary series on Muslims in America and how they were coping socially and politically in the post-9/11 world.
