At the young age of 15, Darren was already a star in his own flair, being part of a 5-member pop group. He was also invited to record two compilation albums in Hong Kong, and soon after a radio deejay as well.

While he was in Hong Kong, Darren was casted in two feature-length films, one of which was A Wonderful World with heavenly king Andy Lau, and our very own King of Caldecott Hill, Li Nan Xing.

Having returned to continue his career in Singapore, he was hand-picked by Celestial channel to host a Tourism programme on Singapore, and with his huge personality, it wasn't long before he was invited by the-then TCS to become a TV host. His appeal was evidenced by being nominated for the Most Popular Male artiste award in Star Awards (an annual award ceremony for TV personalities) for two consecutive years..

Aside from his extensive list of accolades, Darren is also known for his adventurous attitude towards all things. In fact, Darren is always the top choice when it comes to trying dare-devil stunts for most charity shows. A sneak peak into his hobbies would include scuba-diving, boating, archery, horse-riding, flying, martial arts and photography.

Where altitude meets attitude, Darren has exactly what it takes to be Singapore's entertainment icon.
