In 2002, Joshua Ang made his mark in the entertainment scene at the age of 13 when he was spotted by local movie director Jack Neo to star in the movie I Not Stupid 《小孩不笨》, a social satirical comedy that takes a look at the Singapore education system. The movie was a huge box-office success in the region, and Joshua created a stir not only in Singapore but in Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong as well. The same year, this handsome and cool teenager was nominated for the Young Talent Award at the annual MediaCorp Star Awards for his performance in the TV sitcom of the same name.

Following the success of his debut movie, Joshua continues to shine in the sequel movie I Not Stupid Too《小孩不笨2》 and the award-winning Homerun 《跑吧孩子》.

A person with diverse interests, Joshua’s hobbies ranges from playing classical piano, all the way to water sports like water polo and diving.

In 2008, Joshua was offered a full time acting contract with MediaCorp after serving the army for two years and became the youngest actor in the company’s stable of artistes. Upon signing with MediaCorp, Joshua was immediately cast as the male lead in a drama that revolves round the sport of table tennis, Table Of Glory 《乒乓圆》.

With his innate acting talent coupled with his boyish good looks and bad boy appeal, Joshua is certainly a young star in the making!
