Ng Hui holds an honors degree in Communication Studies from Nanyang Technological University, specialising in the field of Electronic Broadcast Media.
She was talent-spotted during her internship at MediaCorp in 2001, which led to her acting debut as Apple, the daughter of veteran Hong Kong star, Lydia Sum, in the English sitcom Living With Lydia. Effectively bilingual, she was soon offered drama roles in Chinese serials including Spice Sibblings, Family Combo, Double Happiness and Room In My Heart.
In 2003, she landed her first hosting assignment in a live variety show PSC Nite and since then she has hosted several genres of programmes.
Besides acting and hosting on TV, the multi-talented and effectively bilingual Ng Hui is also an active player in the theatre/stage circle.
In 2009, she was awarded with the Best Supporting Actress award for her breakthrough performance as the long-suffering maid Ah Tao in the award-winning drama Little Nyonya.
