Pornsak is a Thai-Chinese who came to Singapore when he was young. Although he could not speak a word of English or Mandarin when he first arrived, the talented host is now fluent in both languages, apart from Thai, Spanish and Teochew.

Pornsak has a bubbly personality, and his unique and zany hosting style not only makes him stand out among the rest, but also won him the Best Newcomer award at Star Awards 2007. This was followed by the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes award at subsequent Star Awards. His ability to think out-of-the-box and switch effortlessly between Mandarin and English makes him a popular choice for hosting bilingual and multi-cultural events. Some of such events include the official opening of Li Ka Shing Library and the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition, and TV programmes such as Lose To Win and Cook Off, an Australian production.

Pornsak has hosted variety shows of various genres, ranging from infotainment to wacky entertainment since he joined MediaCorp. He is also a popular anchor host for live transmission programmes like Campus Superstar and U are the One, holding his own against veteran hosts like Dasmond Koh and Guo Liang. In 2010, his food-themed travelogue Food Source enjoyed spectacular ratings, leading to the production of a brand new season, and a nomination for Best Variety Show Host at Star Awards 2011. He won the coveted Rocket Award at the same award show for the greatest growth and improvement among his peers.
