In 2006, at a young age of 16, Teresa Tseng emerged the female winner and the 1st runner-up of Singapore's very first Campus Superstar, a talent competition organized by MediaCorp in search for a singing sensation from local schools. Even though she lost the overall crown to fellow competitor Huang Zhi Yang, her beautiful voice and singing capability received good reviews from the judges and media.
After the competition, Teresa performed in several variety programmes as well as made her acting debut in local TV drama Let It Shine the following year. Together with her fellow finalists from Campus Superstar, she also recorded the sound track for Let It Shine.
When MediaCorp organized S-Pop Hurray! (the first song writing competition for local budding composers) in 2008, Teresa was selected to sing one of the entries《雨伞》. Her beautiful rendition of the melancholy tune brought the song to the top two spots.
In 2009, Teresa was cast as one of the leading roles in the drama Table Of Glory. This drama focused on the competitive sport of table tennis, and Teresa played the role of Xiaofen, a top female table tennis player who lacks confidence after losing a match to an unknown player.
Currently pursuing a diploma in Chinese Media & Communication at Ngee Ann Poly, Teresa still lends her sparkling clear and tender voice for the recording of theme songs of local dramas.
