A graduate from National University of Singapore with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Zhang Zhen Huan is definitely one rising star not to be missed.
The first runner up of Channel U programme U Are The One, Zhen Huan's boyish good looks caught the attention of both viewers and judges during the competition. Soon after the competition, Zhen Huan was offered a contract with MediaCorp and embarked on his career as an artiste.
Zhen Huan started hosting his first TV variety Go Green where they look into environmental issues. Following his hosting debut, he was cast in a prime-time drama The Dream Catcher. This unassuming lad has since taken on a myriad of roles from straight-laced and flirtatious to romantic ones.
His hard work has indeed paid off as he was cast in two mega productions in 2009, The Ultimatum and Together. His impressive portrayal of the nerdy meekly lad-turned-status conscious megalomaniac "Yao Wu Ji" in Together even earned him a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category at both Star Awards and Asian Television Awards in 2010.
In 2011, Zhen Huan made his movie debut in It's A Great Great World, a film directed by Kelvin Tong and features a bevy of MediaCorp artistes. Spanning the 1940s to the present day, this film tells the stories of a multitude of characters who live, worked, played and fell in love in the legendary amusement park named Great World.
With a lot of zeal and passion for his work, this Sichuan-born good looker is making sturdy progress and gaining recognition in the local acting sphere.
