Zzen possesses those Japanese idol looks that set him apart from other artistes. His boyish good looks and megawatt smile light up the small screen in no time. With that score in the looks department, it is little wonder why he is highly sought after by magazines for shoots.
A newcomer to entertainment, Zzen's popularity comes from his wide-eye appeal to the audience. Despite coming in 3rd placing in Malaysia Star Search 2001, a regional talent search contest organized by MediaCorp, his unique charisma was immediately picked up by the eagle-eyed and was offered a contract.
This young lad had participated in numerous singing contests and had even won a couple of them. His greatest wish is to become an accomplished singer-actor based on his talent and not just looks alone.
Zzen's first foray into comedy was a role as a blue-haired hooligan in Kopi O II. That role helped him secure a coveted spot in the new sitcom, Lobang King, as a provision shop assistant where Zzen gets to further cut his comedy teeth, acting alongside other veteran actors including Chew Chor Meng and Huang Wen Yong.
He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in Star Awards 2008, for his notoriously evil role in The Little Nonya, which recorded the highest rating in the past 15 years from 1994-2008
