48 horses galloped their way and into the hearts of the more than 2000 attendees at Tuesday night’s gala premiere of Cavalia in Singapore. An “equestrian, state of the art” act founded by one of the Cirque du Soleil co-founders, Normand Latourelle, Cavalia’s grand opening yesterday also marked the show’s debut in Asia, since its inception 10 years ago.

The beauty of this show is its emphasis on the harmonious relationship between men and horses. It is one filled with respect and love, and while no words are spoken during the show (because everything boils down to the interactions and body language of its riders and horses) the show left audiences spellbound by its high-energy stunt performances and its fleet of magnificent horses.
