Hong Kong heavenly king Aaron Kwok arrived in Singapore last Wednesday, alongside Directors Sunny Luk and Longman Leung to promote their latest film production, Cold War.
During the press conference held at Pan Pacific Hotel, he responded to the talk of the town: his marriage plans. The 47-year-old has been hounded by reporters recently, after he was seen travelling to Maldives with girlfriend Lynn Hung for his birthday celebration in October.
Some have called the trip a 'honeymoon in advance,' while talk has been rife that he successfully proposed to her during the vacation.
Aaron refuted these claims at the press conference, while professing that he is currently at the golden period of his career. He also emphasised that he is not ready to move on to another stage in life yet.
"Men at 40 are like flowers. I want to make full use of the time now and achieve greater things before the flower withers."
In an interview with xinmsn, Aaron shared that there is no 'right age' to get married, "Work and relationship are two different things. I thank everyone for their concern, but right now I want to concentrate on my career. Luckily I'm still in my 40s!"
He believes in destiny and that settling down early does not necessarily bring forth good results as more marriages end up in divorce these days. Aaron added that he is deeply influenced by his father, who is a workaholic.
Fans and media alike would have to wait longer for the wedding bells to ring as the heavenly king revealed that he would only enter the next stage when he has completed all his work commitments and when there is no pressure.
