Andie Chen pursues an acting career in Taiwan

Starting 2013 with a bang, Andie Chen finally fulfilled his long-time wish of moving to Taiwan to develop an acting career abroad and surprised many with his sudden decision.

The 2007 Star Search winner who arrived in Taiwan yesterday afternoon told xinmsn of his desire to experience the different entertainment industries’ environments and to take on new roles.

Over his phone interview, Andie confessed that it was time for him to “broaden my perspective and meet new people” as his work in Singapore was becoming repetitive. The 27-year-old wanted to leave his ‘comfort zone’ and pursue his interests while he is still young and motivated.

While his loved ones found it hard to accept the temporary parting, Andie added that they understood the natureof his work and remained supportive of his decision.
