On Monday, Hong Kong heavenly king Andy Lau and his wife Carol Chu travelled to Guangzhou, China, and paid their last respects to legendary Cantonese opera singer Hung Sin-nui, who passed away from a heart attack on December 8. It was the pair’s third public appearance as a couple.

Andy and Carol were seen holding hands throughout the memorial service, and the latter, who appeared to have a slight baby bump, was said to be extra cautious when walking up and down the stairs. Carol’s careful mannerisms again sparked rumours that she has a bun in the oven.

During an emotional moment at the ceremony, the couple struggled to hold back their tears and leaned on each other for support. They were accompanied by Carol’s sister, Chu Li-hua, and her husband, who shielded them from the media.

After the memorial service, both Andy and Carol declined to be interviewed when hounded by reporters.
