Andy Lau to serenade from five-storey high altitude in concert
Heavenly King Andy Lau will be kicking off his ALways Andy Lau Concert World Tour 2013 show in Shanghai tonight and boy does he have a thrilling show for you. Prior to the concert, the 51-year-old singer delighted fans when he revealed his plan to sing from a five-storey high altitude, for the benefit of those seated above the main stage.
Secured with four metal cables and no railings, Andy made his first elevation attempt on Monday during rehearsals. Although the singer does not have a phobia of heights, he confessed to feeling a tinge of fear when he was hanging in mid-air.
Andy then disclosed that the organising committee has since increased his insurance coverage to 100 million yuan (about S$20 million) and reassured reporters, “Safety precautions have been made so there’s nothing to worry about. Moreover, I have always been very careful.”
