HK celebs stripped for a good cause
Famed Singapore photographer Leslie Kee throws an photography exhibition in Japan with almost-nude photos of Edison Chen, Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tse
Singaporean photographer Leslie Kee published a photo collection titled, Super Stars, back in 2006 to raise funds for the victims of the 2004 Sumatra earthquake. Many forthcoming celebrities who were featured in the photobook were willing to bare it all for Leslie's camera lenses.
Kee will be releasing a new book based on his ongoing 'Super Tokyo' photography exhibition in Japan, for 10,500 Yen (S$240) each. He plans to donate 30% from the sale of each book to the "Safe Motherhood initiatives" campaign by the United Nations Population Fund.
Although the photobook features photographic portraits of more than 1,000 people in Tokyo, semi-nude photos from celebrities like Edison Chen and Shawn Yue have made it into the exhibition.
"I have not heard of such plans lately. That might be old photos," said Edison's manager when reporters asked if the artiste recently took part in any nude photoshoots.
Similarly, Kee recently uploaded behind-the-scenes photos of his shoot with Hong Kong actress-singer Cecilia Cheung onto his official website. The photo depicted a semi-nude
Cecilia with one arm over Kee's shoulders and head.
