Celebs and their pets: Darryl Yong

You have seen enough of them in fancy editorials and on the big screen, so in this special segment on xinmsn, we got the celebs to share a special (and mostly unseen) part of their lives - their pets. Celebs will tell-it-all in this mini Q&A, from shared idiosyncrasies with their furry friends to their pets "celeb-like" personalities.

In the spotlight this week we have Darryl Yong and his fluffy Pomeranian, Tofu!

Tell us more about your pet.
Tofu is a pure breed Pomeranian - furry and fluffy, white in colour (though looks like a cross between spitz and pomeranian) and 1.5 years old.

Let say your pet has a celeb personality, who would it be and why?
My pet reminds me of ME! Well, his personality is very bubbly and smiley thus I would think someone like Jim Carrey.

What is one thing I would change about your pet is you could?
I would like to change the appetite of my dog. He's a little bit of a Fussy eater so it would be nice if his appetite changes.

If you could train your pet to be anything, what would it be?
I would love to train my dog to play frisbee so that I could bring him out to the beaches and have fun playing catch. It's good exercise for dogs and being young, they have a lot of energy to expend. That would definitely be fun and healthy.

How did you decide on the name for your pet?
My dog is white in colour and I wanted to name it with something similar like snow or milk. However I was eating at a hawker centre when I saw the "Yong tau fu" stall. And it struck me. Since my surname is Yong, my dog is family to me, and Tofu is white in colour, I decided to call it "Tofu".
