Warning: these movies will leave you with insatiable food cravings
If there’s something that drives Singaporeans together it’s our common love for food - eating is after all our unofficial national pastime. The same can be applied to different countries and cultures too, and that is well-depicted in Steven Spielberg-produced culinary film, The Hundred-Foot Journey, which in his words, is a “story that in a good fashion is old fashioned” and “a fusion film of culture and cuisine.”
“Food is a great equaliser. Food is the ambrosia that can level the playing field and it can bring people from any country and any culture together around the same table,” said Steven on the importance of food in the film.
