The international film star asked for a xinmsn reporter’s name card during the press conference of The Last Tycoon and conducted an exclusive phone interview with us
Besides carrying out promotional activities for The Last Tycoon during this short stay, Chow took time to dine with Jasmine's family here. Although the actor is known to lead a 'normal' life in Hong Kong, visiting the local markets and taking public transport, he was 'afraid' to leave the hotel in Singapore.
When asked on the reasons, he teased, "I'm Singapore's son-in-law! In Hong Kong, I'm a commoner but in Singapore, I must not show my face so easily."
He jokingly added that as the Lion City is Jasmine's 'territory', it is dangerous for him to roam the streets here, for fear that she would send someone for his head should he have mistreated her in Hong Kong.
Nevertheless, Chow does have some real concerns. He admitted that he was a pack of nerves during filming because of the mandarin script, especially when he was playing opposite so many Chinese actors.
