C.L.I.F. 3 hits 1 million viewers

Following its record-breaking debut earlier this month, police drama C.L.I.F. 3 has proven its popularity once again by surpassing the 1 million viewership mark for episode 11.

A whopping 1,018,000 folks tuned in to Ch8 last night to watch Rui En’s character and the rest of the onscreen police force track down the criminal behind a gruesomely dismembered body. There will undoubtedly be another surge in viewership again tonight as the perpetrator is revealed.

The C.L.I.F. franchise, however, is no stranger to such large numbers. The first installment’s finale episode drew over 1,041,000 viewers, and was the second most watched drama of 2011 with an average viewership of 924,000. While its sequel C.L.I.F. 2, which aired in 2013, never managed to attain a similar seven-figure feat, it still fared well and was the highest rated serial of the year, bringing in an average crowd of 901,000.

The last time a 9pm drama hit 1 million viewers was in 2012, when It Takes Two attracted an audience of 1,004,000.
