Daffy Tong shares past photos in memory of Leslie Cheung
Daffy Tong, lover of late Hong Kong iconic star Leslie Cheung (nicknamed “Gor Gor”), has been sharing undisclosed photos of the couple recently, in memory of the singer-actor on his 10th death anniversary.
Daffy, who reportedly sought solace in the United States on Leslie’s birthday and death anniversary every year, publicly expressed his longing for his late boyfriend for the first time in 10 years, on a radio show yesterday.
He dedicated Leslie’s hit track “Where Are You” to the late singer and expressed his feelings through the lyrics of the song: “On this night, I still can’t forget you. My lover, where are you?”
Besides the personal dedication, Daffy also dedicated the song “Together We Move On” to Leslie’s fans via the program hosted by his friend DJ Vani.
In addition, Daffy and Leslie’s former manager Florence Chan appeared on stage during the ending of the “Miss You Much Leslie” memorial concert held on Mar 31, bowing to the crowd in appreciation.
Leslie Cheung committed suicide on Apr 1, 2003 when he leapt from the 24th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong.
