Ekin Cheng dismisses secret wedding rumours

Ekin Cheng and Yoyo Mung's marriage rumour began when the couple went on a holiday to Fukuoka, Japan with their family members last weekend.

When the lovebirds returned to Hong Kong on Tuesday, dressed in couple outfits, they greeted reporters with wide smiles on their faces when they came out from different exits.

With both hands in her pockets, Yoyo smiled and refused to comment if she had gotten married with her boyfriend during their holiday. However, a ring, which is believed to be the couple's engagement ring, was spotted on her left ring finger when she fastened her seatbelt in the car.

At Ekin Cheng's first media appearance following his return from Japan, the actor-singer referred to speculations of their secret wedding as "fabricated news".

"It was just a normal holiday with friends. We will only get married next year," said the 45-year-old.

He added that he was "unclear" about Yoyo's ring and commented the ring "does not represent that one is married." Ekin also clarified that he does not have an identical ring.
