Ethan Ruan ends military service one day earlier than scheduled

Ethan Ruan reportedly ends his military service at 5pm today – a day earlier than expected. His early end to national service adds on to suspicions that he had an cushy time in the army.

Authorities refuted all speculations of his “easy time” by clarifying that Ethan was granted an early leave according to normal procedures because he donated one unit of blood.

Throughout his time in the army, the 30-year-old Taiwanese actor remained in the limelight with his seven commercial deals; his role as a lecturer in the arts school; and his relationship with his actress girlfriend Tiffany Hsu.

When asked about her celebration plans for boyfriend Ethan’s discharge, Tiffany told the media that she would not be doing anything special as she is currently busy filming upcoming drama Love Me Or Leave Me.

Ethan, on the other hand, will begin filming for Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao Hsien’s new movie The Assassin as soon as he returns from an event in Milan tomorrow.
