Fann Wong crowned Asia’s Most Popular Actress at Huading Awards

Singaporean actress Fann Wong was crowned "Asia's Most Popular Actress" at the Huading Awards i China on Wednesday. xinmsn caught up with the 41-year-old over a phone interview where Fann shared her thoughts of filming her latest movie, Runaway Woman, and being away from her husband, Christopher Lee.

Fann was dressed in a striped bareback Max Mara dress at the Huading Awards which was also attended by Chinese celebrities such as Jackie Chan and Nicholas Tse.

The Huading Awards is the only award ceremony that shortlists its nominees through phone research surveys and online polls. Winners are chosen based on online voting and expert judges' evaluations; and taking into account the entertainers' public responsibility.

When asked about her responsibility as an artiste, Fann shared that as an actress, "One does not simply just act. There are also endorsements and charity work, which also gives the individual more responsibilities."

Giving her acceptance speech at the awards ceremony, the actress expressed that, "Being an actress, I strived to give life to the characters I portrayed. Being Fann Wong, I will try to live life with no regrets and fill it with colourful memories."
