Get Social: The newest buzz-and-blog-worthy show on the block
This March, xinmsn brings you another exclusive English web drama that takes viewers from the veiled treasure coves of Singapore in Of Love & Hidden Charms, to the fast-paced, volatile world of the internet in Get Social.
High drama, hysterical situations and hilariously dysfunctional characters run rampant in this brand new xinmsn comedy series. You could say it runs along the veins of hit shows like Ugly Betty and The Office – but with a healthy sprinkling of unique local flavour.
The drama centres on four 20-somethings, each with their own charm and crotchet, trying to run their own social media agency ROFL. It stars George Young as Leonard Lee, the clueless, charismatic, and slightly conceited CEO and founder; Shane Mardjuki as walking Wikipedia Sam Tay; Oon Shu An as spunky social media maven Soo Ling; and newcomer Vanessa Ann Vanderstraaten as poor little rich girl Rachel Lim.
The series promises to entertain with a seemingly endless stream of mischief, mishaps and misadventure in each of its 20 episodes (each episode is about 5 minutes long). Expect the usual social media shenanigans (from viral videos to ad campaign disasters), as well as the typical turbulences of love, life and livelihood. Oh, and there’s also a *ahem* steamy tape featuring a less-than-dressed George, in case you’re interested.
Get Social premieres on xinmsn on Mar 11 and airs daily.
Stay tuned to xinmsn for exclusive behind-the-scenes features, cast interviews and more!
