Guo Jingjing wants more than one child
Guo Jingjing may have just given birth to her first child on Tuesday morning but the former Chinese Olympic diver is reported to be already preparing for her next child. Following in the footsteps of ex-TVB actress Cathy Tsui, her goal is said to be to have two more children in the next four years.
Cathy, who wed Martin Lee, the second son of one of Hong Kong’s multi-billion dollar corporations, bore two daughters and a son within four years. Cathy was 24 when she tied the knot. In comparison, Jingjing is 31 this year.
Jingjing met husband Kenneth Fok during the2014 Athens Olympics and the two tied the knot in a lavish ceremony graced by the who’s-who of the entertainment and business industries last November. She is said to have received over HKD$100 million (about S$20 million) from the Fok family.
A source close to the family claimed that the couple is on a well thought-out path, with their marriage and childbearing plans painstakingly mapped out. Jingjing’s retirement is said to have been in line with the year-long preparation needed for her to be at the optimal child-bearing state.
“She to complete her child-bearing plans before she hits 35 – (that’s) three (children) in 4 years. Some friends have told her to consider fertility jabs so that she can give birth to twins next. Right now, it’s just an idea and nothing is for sure yet,” the source claimed.
First-time daddy Kenneth took to his microblog to declare, “(I’ve) been busier during the past two days and have been learning how to look after (my) baby. I hope to meet everyone (today) for a chat and post pictures of (my) baby for everyone!”
