Has Zhou Xun destroyed all chances of a Nicholas Tse-Cecilia Cheung reunion?
Even after Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tse’s high-profile divorce in 2011, the 33-year-old actress is said to have harboured hopes of an eventual reunion. Cecilia brought her two young sons, Lucas and Quintus to Canada last month and is reportedly intending to settle down there. Originally, her plan was said to be to bring her sons to Vancouver for two months, but she has adamantly remained in Canada after rumours of Nicholas’s romance with Chinese actress Zhou Xun broke.
At the start of the holiday, she is said to have allowed her sons to remain in close contact with their father, sending pictures of their daily lives and making video calls in order to keep in touch. This reportedly changed after the dating rumours surfaced, raising speculation that she pulled off a disappearing act to get back at her ex-husband.
Cecilia reportedly demanded for Nicholas to transfer a large, undisclosed amount of money to her while she was in Canada and mentioned buying property and a car there in order for her to settle down in the country. She is claimed to have changed her number immediately after receiving the money, leaving the Tse family unable to contact her.
Nicholas’s parents, Patrick Tse and Deborah Lee, are said to be devastated at the lack of contact with their grandsons and shed tears whenever mentioning them, saying that they “really miss them and won’t get sick of them even if we see them everyday”.
