Huang Xiao Ming celebrates Vicki Zhao’s 37th birthday

On Monday, Chinese actor Huang Xiao Ming appeared at a programme recording where his college mate and ex-crush Vicki Zhao was promoting her directorial debut So Young. Despite his leg injuries and hectic filming schedule, he accepted the production team’s invite and showed up at the studio with a cake in hand to celebrate the actress’ 37th birthday.

The two friends, who attended the same class in the university, were locked in an embrace when they saw each other. When fans chanted for him to give Vicki another hug, the Chinese heartthrob put down his crutches immediately and lifted her up in a princess hold, inviting roaring screams.

Xiao Ming shared that he once courted Vicki and though they are not fated to be a couple, he has never failed to prepare a birthday gift for her every year. The actor, who once said that he would marry Vicki if they were both single at 30, added, “I’ve always been there to support her for the past 16 years, and I will continue doing so.”

Touched by his sweet gestures, the actress-turned-director exclaimed, “His future wife is going to be so blissful!”

Vicki married Chinese real estate magnate Huang You Long in 2008 and gave birth to their daughter in April 2010.
