Huang Xiao Ming undergoes operation on broken leg

According to Taiwan media, China’s “number one heartthrob”Huang Xiao Ming fell from three metres above ground while filming a fighting scene for his new movie, The Bride With White Hair 3D. He suffered a comminuted fracture in two toes on his left foot.

The 35-year-old subsequently ran a fever for a couple of days and had swelling on his injured left foot. Despite the pain, Xiao Ming consoled his family and friends when they visited him, assuring them that he’s “fine”.

“[Xiao Ming’s] fever hassubsided, but his left foot is still swollen,” Xiao Ming’s manager was quoted as saying.

Xiao Ming will undergo an operation today to insert an intramedullary nail (also known as IM nail that’s used to treat fractures of the body) into his fractured toes.

The actor had initially insisted to continue filming in a wheelchair, but was immediately rejected by the director.Doctors have advised Xiao Ming a complete bed rest for a month and added that his injury would take about three months to recover.

Xiao Ming’s rumoured girlfriend, Hong Kong model-actress Angelababy was believed to have cancelled her job assignment in Hangzhou, China and flew to Beijing to be with him.
