Huang Yiliang is supportive of daughter’s venture into acting

Ex-MediaCorp artiste Huang Yiliang's 17 year old daughter, Chantelle Ng, will be participating in a new web drama titled 96°C Café, slated for broadcast in February 2013. The series will then be repackaged for a Channel 8 premiere in April.
While speaking with xinmsn after attending MediaCorp's 30th Drama Anniversary Special last weekend, Huang expressed his excitement upon learning of his daughter's maiden acting endeavour. When asked on his views regarding Chantelle's venture into showbiz, he said, "I'll let her do whatever she likes. I won't restrict or pressurise her."
He added that he feels more at ease about her starting out in Singapore, as he is familiar with the local entertainment industry. The 52-year-old also thought that it is good for Chantelle to gain different experiences while she is young, and showed full support for her decision.
"She's only 17 now. It's the best time in life," he chortled.
