Identity of Gillian Chung’s boyfriend exposed by netizens
Member of Cantopop group Twins, Gillian Chung, recently admitted to her “kimchi romance” with a Korean boyfriend whom she referred to as “Mr. K”. Though she tried to keep a low profile on the relationship by keeping the identity of her new beau under wraps, sharp-eyed netizens were quick to solve the mystery.
“Mr. K” is believed to be Kush, a buddy of with G-Dragon, leader of popular South Korean male group Big Bang. His identity came to light when frontal images of him circulated on the microblog community.
Despite proclaiming that she will be “fiercely happy” when she confessed about the relationship, the singer evaded reporters’ questions at an event yesterday. Still unwilling to reveal his surname, when asked by reporters on the name she calls him by, Gillian retorted, “I’m not telling!”
Fellow Twins member Charlene Choi jumped in and explained on her behalf, “I call him “Mr. Kimchi”.
According to reports, Gillian and boyfriend, who have been dating for several months, communicates in English. When asked if he has said “I love you” in Korean to her, the 31-year-old shook her head laughing. Though she did not expect the relationship to go public so quickly, she mentioned that “Mr. K” is already mentally prepared for it. She expressed hopes for lesser attention to be placed on her relationship.
Avoiding further questions on her boyfriend’s current country of residence and occupation, Gillian revealed that she will not be spending Christmas with her boyfriend this year.
