The 23rd Seoul Music Awards ceremony was held in Seoul, South Korea, 23 January 2014. S. Korean boy group EXO was the biggest winner by bagging the Daesang and Record of the Year in Digital Release award with their latest album "Growl". Boy group SHINee also won big by receiving three awards, The Popularity award, Special Hallyu award and Bonsang award. For girl groups, Girls` Generation, Sistar, A Pink maintained their leading roles by taking the Bonsang Awards home. The annual awards has its most influential power in the music world due to its special method of deciding on winners through the voting which consists of 20% from digital and album sales, 50% from research and 20% from panel judging.
