Hong Kong director Ann Hui`s new movie "The Golden Era" had its debut press conference with the main cast members including Chinese actress Tang Wei and actor Feng Shaofeng in attendance in Shanghai, China, 15 April 2014. Clad in a black hollow dress, Tang Wei flaunted her slim figure and ultra-feminine charm on the site, attracting actor Zhu Yawen to hold her shoulder tightly throughout the event. Tang acts as a legendary writer named Xiao Hong in 1930s, which she said was a big challenge for her. More than 80% of the scenes were filmed in northeast China during the freezing winter and one day Tang Wei`s eyes were nearly frozen to explode. The cast members had to wear diving suits to keep out the cold, making everyone look like an alien, Tang added.
