The 25th Golden Melody Awards ceremony was held in Taipei, Taiwan, 28 June 2014. Malaysian singer Penny Tai was a double-winner by taking home Best Mandarin Female Singer for her album "Unexpected", and Best Album Producer award. Singaporean singer JJ Lin received the top honor from Best Mandarin Male Singer for his album "Stories Untold", which finally won a "happy ending" after three times of nomination. Best Mandarin Album fell on Taiwanese singer Chang Chen-yue for his new work "Ayal Komod ". Chinese singer Li Ronghao, who received five nominations and was considered as the dark horse, only received the Best New Artist award for his album "Model".
