It’s a girl for Chin Kar-lok and Angela Tong

Hong Kong actor Chin Kar-lok and his wife, actress Angela Tong held their wedding reception at the InterContinental Hong Kong hotel last night. They registered their marriage in Hong Kong Ocean Park on Tuesday, under the witness of pandas Le Le and Ying Ying.

Many celebrity friends were invited to share their joy, including Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Eric Tsang, Liza Wang, Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok, Yoyo Mung, and Hong Kong Cantopop group Grasshoppers.

Angela, who was dressed in an elegant gown, happily showed off her five months baby bump to all the guests.

Previously, Kar-lok had mentioned that they would only reveal the baby's gender at the wedding reception.

"If the wedding cake is strawberry flavoured, it is a girl. If it is chocolate flavoured, it is a boy," he said.

After much anticipation last night, the couple finally displayed a strawberry-flavoured cake, thus disclosing that they are expecting a baby girl.

Angela commented that everyone had fun and she did not cry at all. On the other hand, Kar-lok felt touched upon seeing his elder brother teared up while he gave his speech onstage.

When asked if the 47-year-old gave his wife any promises, Kar-lok said lovingly, "I am not a sweet-talker, but from now on, I will be always there to hold her [Angela's] hand as we grow old together."
