J-Rock band LUNA SEA to play in Singapore on Feb 8
It's a dream come true for the "SLAVES" (name of LUNA SEA's official fan club) in Singapore. The legendary Japanese rock band LUNA SEA will be holding a concert in Singapore for the first time, since their formation in 1989. LUNA SEA's "The End of the Dream" Asia Tour 2013 will be happen on Feb 8 next year, at the all-new The Star Theatre.
LUNA SEA is considered by many as one of the most successful rock bands in Japan and pioneered the development of Visual-Kei genre. Their distinctive music and costumes in their earlier days of debut had strong influence over both music and cosplay scenes in Japan and countries all around the world.
By 1998, the band sold over a total of 2.5 million CDs in a single year. With "I For You" as the theme song for the famous Japanese drama God, Please give me more time!, LUNA SEA's popularity made its way abroad and brought forth their first Asian tour in 1999. Despite a 10-year hiatus since their disbandment in 2000, their reunion tour in 2010 drew over 200,000 participants worldwide.
Lucky for fans, Singapore has been chosen as the final stop of the Asia Tour, after Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand. With sold-out concerts in Japan, which is the band's first stop in November, tickets to the Singapore show are expected to sell like hotcakes. Special arrangements will also be made for fans in the neighbouring countries to purchase the concert tickets at ease.
A one-week ticket presale will start on Nov 10 (Sat) and public sales will commence from Nov 17 (Sat). Tickets are priced at $238, $168 and $128 and are available via SISTIC online, phone and counter bookings.
