Jay Chou’s look for his new movie leaked

A video clip titled "First look at Jay Chou's Rooftop" was leaked onto the internet yesterday after a resident managed to video the 33-year-old in his getup while he was filming his second self-directed movie, Rooftop.

The two minute 46 seconds long video was taken from an angle above Jay and it was suspected that the crew were unaware of this secret filming. In the video, the 33-year-old was seen in a wig, pink vintage shirt and a blue bandana with a blue denim jacket.

Producer Will Liu admitted to speculations that it was a scene from the movie, expressing that the filming was done in Kaohsiung a few days ago and the production team had requested to seal off the roads to prevent people from coming in. He added that "the residents, who lived in the area however, could see the filming and were specifically requested not to video the filming. We don't understand why they posted it online."

Asked if Jay is unhappy that his new image for Rooftop is leaked, Will expressed his frustration that it is unpreventable and that they will "try to contact the owner of the video to request him to remove it."

In other related news, Rooftop had been slammed with controversies even though it had only began filming for a month, with accusations that range from vandalism to low wages for movie extras.

Responding to the accusations, Will clarified that the production team offered NT$800 (S$33) per extra and not NT$500 (S$21). It is believed that the external company that helped source for extras deducted the pay as recommendation fees.
