Jennifer Lopez sets Singapore on fire
Amid a packed set list of dance numbers, Jennifer, wearing a billowing pastel blue gown, toned it down and performed an acoustic and ballad version of one her biggest hits “If You Had My Love” – beautifully sung, clearly one of the highlights of the night.
The singer also took time to interact with the crowd, “Where are all my ladies and ‘papies’ (men in Spanish)?” and dedicated the latin-flavoured dance pop song, “Papi” to the male audience.
More dancing ensued as she performed hits from her latest album like “Going In”, “I’m Into You” and “On The Floor”; fans with arms in the air, danced along with the singer and she thanked everyone for the night.
Another number that stole the night was a touching performance of “Until It Beats No More”. Set against a video backdrop of her playing with her gorgeous twins, Max and Emme, Jennifer told the crowd, “In this journey, I’ve felt true love,” reminding her fans where her heart really belongs.
The sizzling performance was brought to a rousing close with her killer dance track “Dance Again" accompanied with fireworks until the lights went out on stage.
At 43 and a mother of two, Jennifer Lopez is in good shape. Despite a few sound issues that left her voice hardly audible in some parts – well, even superstars run out of breath sometimes, the magic of her sultry moves and perfect execution of choreography, as well as her interactions with the crowd made her a winner.
Indisputably a headlining act, even Hong Kong star Coco Lee and her husband, Bruce, were spotted amongst the crowd – true story.
