Six of Singapore’s brightest dance crews battled it out on November 10 at the Rémy Martin Centaur Dance Showdown Singapore Finals that was held at Clarke Quay Central Fountain Square. Attracting a crowd of more than 400, the high-energy contest was hotly contested by top teams who were vying for the chance to represent our country in the Regional Finals that will be held in Singapore on January 18, 2013. Other participating countries include Malaysia, Philippines, India, Thailand and Vietnam.
Pop princess Jolin Tsai will be in town to judge the Regional Finals as the newly-appointed celebrity spokesperson of Rémy Martin.
One of Singapore’s longest-standing street dance crews, Radikal Forze, eventually emerged as the victor. The five-member group impressed judges with their slick and creative routine – a fusion of hip-hop, locking and breakdance moves.
Aged between 21 and 31 years old, the well-respected group has performed and represented Singapore at various large-scale events and competitions worldwide.
