Jun Ji Hyun still as popular even after marriage
Many female stars have been cast in the media limelight after getting married or getting pregnant, defying the common mindset that they may lose their popularity after tying the knot, which used to prompt many female celebrities to get married in secret.
However, celebrities such as Jun Ji Hyun, Patty Hou and Kelly Lin remained equally popular, if not even rising further in fame after their marriage or pregnancy. Their work has, in fact, increased after their marriage, proving that marriage does not equate to the death of their career.
Last May, Taiwan-based actress Terri Kwan married a Hong Kong businessman, and she recently revealed that her marriage did not affect her career.
She said: “I put my husband first in any consideration, and will take up about five activities every month – they are usually those in either Taiwan or Hong Kong.”
It is also understood that Terri would take a few days off every month to accompany her husband on business trips. She recently went to Thailand with her husband and a good friend.
Another Taiwanese actress Kelly Lin, who gave birth to her second daughter in February, said that her workload has actually increased after she announced her pregnancy.
Taiwanese TV host Patty Hou added that she actually received four endorsement invitations after she announced her pregnancy, and has an income of at least NT20 million (approximately S$830,000).
It is also needless to say for married Korean star Jun Ji Hyun – she was propelled to fame after popular Korean drama My Love from the Star was an instant hit in Asian markets.
