Kelly Chen suffers two-inch wound on forehead
Hong Kong actress Kelly Chen was the centre of attention at the Gala Premiere of her new film Horseplay in Beijing last Sunday, when she appeared with a two-inch wound on her forehead.
During an interview after the event, Kelly shared that she was hurt by pieces of shattered glass from a mirror which she accidentally broke while packing her luggage at home. Although she was in tremendous pain, she forced herself not to cry in front of her son.
“I was going crazy from the pain, but I bore with it because I wanted to teach my son to be brave,” the 41-year-old explained.
Worried that the wound will leave a permanent scar, Kelly is currently abstaining from food that is said to hinder healing. “I hope the movie will be a big red hit, just like my forehead, when it opens in cinemas!” said the actress.
Directed by Lee Chi Ngai, the comedy heist movie which also stars Tony Leung Ka-fai and Ekin Cheng, will be released on March 21.
