Adam McKay is perhaps the greenest filmmaker ever, to the extent that he made a whole other movie out of the scenes he had to cut from Anchorman. Wake Up, Ron Burgundy focuses on Ron’s investigation of an incompetent gang of politically motivated bank robbers known as The Alarm Clock. Amy Poehler (TV’s Parks and Recreation) stars as a bank teller confused and then affronted by the gang’s ill-defined political motives. She also cannot seem to tell that robber Kanshasha X (Maya Rudolph) is in fact a woman, not a “sir.”
