Woody Allen made a musical? Everyone Says I Love You proved to be a critical smash, but audiences did not flock to see the director’s musical comedy about the travails of an upper class Manhattan family. Liv Tyler filmed her role as a beautiful right-wing Republican who makes the move on the lone son (Lukas Haas) of said family, but Allen cut her. Tyler told The Times of London, in part: “He wrote me a letter, which I keep on my desk and look at occasionally, saying that he was really sorry and it was nice to work with me and we would work again. But he’s never asked me again.”
