Before this, the only crusader – caped or otherwise – commonly associated with helping to save the environment was Captain Planet. But that changed when the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) appointed Spider-Man as their very first superhero ambassador for Earth Hour 2014.

To celebrate the annual global environment event, the leading cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx – were invited to The Float@Marina Bay last night to lend their A-list star power. They were also joined by director Marc Webb, producers Matthew Tolmach and Avi Arad, Spider-Man himself and the WWF panda.

Jamie even brought his adorable four-year-old daughter Annalise and one of her new friends - reportedly from Singapore - up on stage with him.

Unsurprisingly, the venue was filled to the brim with folks (numbering around 9,000) clamouring to catch a glimpse of these Hollywood hotshots, a scene that we already witnessed at the red carpet event and press conference on Thursday.
