Lin Chi-ling shoots for charity calendar in Paris
For the past five years, Taiwanese supermodel Lin Chi-ling regularly shot and released annual calendars, donating proceeds from its sales to charity. This year, the philanthropist recently made use of her free time while working in Paris to shoot for 2014’s calendar. In one of the pictures, Chi-ling was seen posing alluringly in a low-cut top, showing off her fabulous curves and cleavage.
According to media reports, over 20,000 copies of the calendar have been preordered in Taiwan, and the total sum of profits worth an estimated NT$7.98 million (approximately S$330,000) will go to Chi-ling Charity Foundation which was established by the model-actress in 2011.
The funds will be used to sponsor meal grants and provide after-school care for needy children who live in remote areas.
With her growing popularity in China in recent years, Chi-ling has also decided to work with Taobao, an online shopping website, to publish the calendars in simplified Chinese. Each calendar is estimated to cost RMB 85 (S$17) and for every copy sold, RMB40 (S$8) will be donated to the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.
The funds raised will be used to construct a student dormitory in Sichuan and to provide winter clothing for children who live in remote mountainous areas.
