War of the Worlds (2005)

In this adaptation of H.G. Wells' classic War of the Worlds, a family faces the end of the world when aliens come down to Earth to put an end to all its natural resources and inhabitants. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards: Visual Effects, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.
