Mayday’s Ashin works hard to pay employees’ wages
Arguably the busiest member in Mayday, Ashin is estimated to have 250 employees under his co-owned record company Bin Music and fashion label STAYREAL. To pay the wages of his employees, which is at a reported estimate of NT$7.5 million (approximately S$310,000) every month, the 37-year-old has picked up eight endorsement deals this year.
Last weekend, Mayday shuttled from Kaohsiung for a mobile phone launch event, to Xinzhuang for an advertisement shoot. Halfway through the shoot, Monster, Guan You and Masa were seen taking a smoke break, while Ashin was spotted with an exhausted look when he left the studio at around 11pm that night.
According to media reports, Ashin’s STAYREAL has expanded to 20 shop fronts across Asia in recent years, and the label now has a total of 150 staff. Sources also revealed that Bin Music’s growing business and manpower pool is also why the singer has been working extra hard.
