Mayday’s Monster falls from stage during concert
Popular Taiwanese band Mayday held a two-day concert titled End of The World Party and Tomorrow’s Rebirth respectively, at Kaohsiung National Stadium last weekend, as part of their Nowhere World Tour. The crowd had a scare when leader Monster fell from the one-metre tall stage during the song Three Fools on the second day, as the members ran to the extension stage to interact with fans.
The 36-year-old was sprinting under dark lighting and plunged right to the bottom of the stage, shocking everyone with his fall. However, he got up with the help of the crew and returned to the stage immediately. The guitarist continued with the performance right away and assured fans that he did not sustain any serious injury by hitting his chest playfully.
Speaking on the incident after the concert, Monster boasted that his body is very fit and joked, “I merely fell from the stage, spun two rounds and had my head stepped on.”
The concert concluded with much fanfare, which consisted of new music and set list arrangements, improved stage effects and props, fresh costumes, two encores and a minute long of fireworks display. Taiwanese stars Jerry Yan and Ariel Lin also made special appearances in a video clip shown during the show, which drove temperatures in the arena even higher.
