Hands up if you spent hours on old school cartridge games, SEGA box sets and joystick games, such as pong and brick breaker, as kids! For those hoping to catch your favourite video game characters come together and share some silver screen-worthy time, Disney's latest animated flick, Wreck-It Ralph, is your best bet.
When we visited the studios in July for an exclusive junket trip at the invitation of Walt Disney Singapore, the animation studio surprised us with the extensive research and effort that went into creating the 182 unique characters for the film.
Disney even gave a nod to Japanese culture with their original range of candy racers in the Harajuki-inspired land of Sugar Rush. Spinoff characters such as Jubileena Bing-Bing, Taffyta Muttonfudge and Minty Zak are as cute as a button and the epitome of fluff and kawaii-ness. Their cool rides are intricately designed as slabs of droolicious confectionary in every colour of the rainbow. Imagine having your ride decked out in sugar-coated ring donuts, peanut butter cups and fruity gumdrops - you get our drift...
On top of the studio's original creations, you can expect to catch familiar faces, such as Sonic and Dr. Eggman (from Sonic the Hedgehog), M. Bison, Zangief and even Chun Li (from Street Fighter) on top of Bowser from Super Mario and the orange-coloured ghoul, Clyde, from Pac-Man.
